Breaking down on I-75 is stressful. The highway moves fast, especially between Lexington and the Tennessee border. But staying calm and knowing exactly what to do makes the difference between a minor inconvenience and a dangerous situation.
Step 1: Get Off the Travel Lanes Immediately
Signal and move to the right shoulder as quickly and safely as possible. Do not stop in a travel lane.
Step 2: Make Yourself Visible
Turn on your hazard lights immediately. If you have them, place road flares or reflective triangles 50 to 100 feet behind your vehicle.
Step 3: Call for Help
Call JJBA Towing at (859) 413-4409. We cover the entire I-75 corridor through Central Kentucky. Most calls in our service area are answered within 25 to 35 minutes.
